Dear Love,

Do you know how I know God loves us?

I peeped He gave us mental health advice before we knew we needed it.

It pains me to know that so many of our brothers and sisters are tormented by their minds.

In Galatians 6:2, it says, “Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

So, the best thing I can do is share the best mental health advice I've received from God so far. I'll start with one example that is as old as creation: to rest.

Rest

In Genesis 2:2, He gave us the perfect model for resting. Sometimes, we can get so caught up in life and in our own ambitions that we forget that you, the Author and Finisher, the Alpha and the Omega, the Great I AM, the Creator of the world, took a day to rest.

If God rested, we definitely need rest.

In Mark 6:31, Jesus said, “Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while.”

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, didn't shame anyone for needing a moment of rest. Instead, He encouraged it.

Thus, we should encourage one another to rest when we see that we aren't following God's rhythms for work and rest.

I'm grateful that God will make us rest.

In Psalm 23:2–3, it says, “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.”

That's how I know God love us. He will set us apart, in a place of peace, to restore our souls.

He will make us rest if He knows we need it.

Sometimes, we can be sure of what we think we want, but God knows what we need. And in modern times, I can see that many of our brothers and sisters just need rest.

I pray for supernatural peace and an abundance of rest for all of us.

All My Love,

Lisa Ford

P.S. Take a moment to rest in God's presence, and as always, don't forget your prayers.
